It was a fantastic December at Little Fishes as we lit the advent candles each week and made our Nativity collage. Each week the children used their hand and footprints to create the characters in the scene. They enjoyed a Christmas party on their final session before Christmas.
The Messy Church Christingle service was a peaceful but well attended event and the children were all so focused on their crafts as they explored what each part of the Christingle represented.
On their return on January 8th, Little Fishes celebrated Epiphany and the children finished off their collage by adding in the kings with their gifts and camels. The children also made crowns and dressed up in King costumes.

On Jan 15th, we welcomed in the new year as we made calendars. We talked about new years resolutions and how they can be for the whole year through and not just ‘being healthy for January’!
On Jan 22nd, we had a snowy theme as the children heard about these cold winter months and made mittens and snowman pictures to take home.
Even in the winter there are signs of new life and God’s creation all around us.
We also talked about how every snowflake is unique just like us.
On 29th January, we celebrated Chinese New Year by making lanterns and snakes as 2025 is the Year of the Snake! It was great to welcome 7 new families to the group as well.

Our dates for Messy Church and Little Fishes Go Big have now been booked for the rest of the year so do write them in your diaries – see below
